People living in London are the most likely to fall victim to debt through credit card fraud according to APACS.
The group say that the huge number of people living in the city, makes them an obvious target for thieves and con-artists.
Mark Bowerman from Apacs commented, "London is the fraud hotspot in the UK but the fact of the matter is there are more cards in issue in London and therefore more transactions and more retail outlets in London."
People who have their credit card stolen are advised to immediately call up and cancel them to avoid fraud.
