A new study into the way pensions are paid out has revealed that men get significantly more than women, meaning that females are far more likely to find themselves declaring bankruptcy in later life.
The research carried out by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) found that it would take another 45 years for women to receive a similar-sized pension to men.
The group are now demanding that the government step in to ensure the gap is closed a lot sooner than they forecast.
