EDF Energy have been criticised for increasing the debt problems of their customers by hiking their gas and electricity prices at the worst possible time.
The group have pushed up their gas and electricity prices by 22 per cent and 17 per cent for domestic and small business customers, leaving many to struggle with hugely inflated bills.
EDF have also been slammed for making the increases whilst many families are away on holiday and unable to respond by switching providers or freezing their rates into the future.
