According to new research from uSwitch.com the number of consumers in the UK getting debt consolidation help, and then continuing to spend beyond their means is on the increase.
The group have reported that some people are even borrowing more than they need to cover their debts, simply so they can maintain the lifestyle.
Nick White, director of personal finance at uSwitch.com, said UK consumers should not view consolidation as a quick fix to their debt problems.
