Credit card rejection won't affect debt problems

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) have told consumers that if they're rejected when applying for a credit card or any other form of finance, it won't affect their credit rating.

The group say that many people are fearful of applying for credit as they believe a failed application will leave them with worse debt problems than they already have.

Tom Howard from the CCCS has advised consumers who aren't successful with credit applications to ask for details as to why they were rejected, so they can fix the problems.
